You can stroll through the <em>old town<\/em>, along the <em>Limmat river<\/em> or by the shores of <em>Lake Zurich<\/em>. <em>Shopping<\/em> at Bahnhofstrasse, Rennweg and Limmatquai is another option. Zurich also has world-class <em>museums<\/em> and a famous <em>zoo<\/em>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zuerich.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zurich Tourism<\/a> will be happy to help. They also have some suggestions what do do in a day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zuerich.com\/en\/visit\/zurich-in-one-day\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Half-Day Tours<\/h3>\n<p>Here are some suggestions:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zsg.ch\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boat cruise on lake Zurich<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zoo.ch\/en\">Zurich Zoo and Masoala Rainforest Hall<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trip to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zuerich.com\/en\/visit\/attractions\/uetliberg#internal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Uetliberg<\/a>: You can hike from Triemli (final station of tram line 14) or\u00a0Albisg\u00fctli (final station of tram line 13). The hiking distance is about 3 km and the height difference is 370 m from Albisg\u00fctli and 420 m from Triemli. \u00a0Alternatively, there is a cogwheel train from Zurich main station with an easy walk to the summit area.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trip to Einsiedeln Monastery<\/a> (46-50 minutes by train from Zurich main station).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Full-Day Tours<\/h3>\n<p>When having time for a full-day tour, consider:<\/p>\n<p>Lake Lucerne and Mount Rigi: Take the train to Arth-Goldau. Change to the cogwheel train to Mount Rigi. For returning, take the cogwheel train down to Vitznau. There, board a boat to Lucerne. Visit Lucerne. Return to Zurich by train.<\/p>\n<p>Berner Oberland: Take an early train to Interlaken Ost (you may have to change train in Bern or Spiez). Change to the train to Grindelwald; exit at Grindelwald Terminal. Take the cableway to M\u00e4nnlichen. Hike M\u00e4nnlichen (alt. 2229 m) \u2013 Kleine Scheidegg (4 km, alt. 2061 m) \u2013 Wengernalp (1 km, alt. 1874 m) \u2013 Wengen (4 km, alt. 1275 m). For a shorter hike, you may board the train already on Kleine Scheidegg or Wengernalp. Take the train from Wengen to Interlaken (change train in Lauterbrunnen). If you are early enough, take a boat from Interlaken West to Thun.
